ALL ATHLETES: The revised and recently adopted student athletic/activities handbook states on page 9 that ALL fines, not just sports fines, need to be cleared or paid prior to the first competition. If you have outstanding fines, it is indicated in your Final Forms account. Please take care of these as soon as possible.

ATTENTION STUDENTS IN GRADES 10-12:
You are responsible for picking up a Chromebook BEFORE the first day of school, August 31st. Parents/Guardians and or siblings may pick up a Chromebook on your behalf by signing for Chromebook at pick up.

Register for FALL sports as soon as possible as Football begins August 16, all other Fall sports begin August 21, 2023. Students MUST be registered and approved prior to turning out for practice/try-outs. Please refer to the Handbook included in your Final Forms registration site for more detailed information if needed.
Registration is completed online using FinalForms. To register, update, or set up a new account, go to: https://kelso-wa.finalforms.com. This link can be found at: https://gohilanders.com, click on Athletic Registration. Check the sports your student-athlete may be participating in during the school year. You will be required to sign your forms once per year and after any update. ALL forms are to be signed by a parent/caregiver, and the student-athlete. Registration is NOT complete until all forms have been submitted with the required signatures.

Girls Swim & Dive begins August 21. Practices will be held Mon-Fri from 2:30 to 5:00 and Saturdays from 8:00 - 10:00 am.

There will be a Football player meeting Tuesday, August 15 at 4:00 in the locker room. Football practice begins at 3:30 on Wednesday, August 16.

Congratulations to State Track Meet participants. The girls are State Champions (Rielee Gourde, Ruby Sereday and Josie Settle). Rielee placed 6th in the Pole Vault and 5th in the Javelin. Ruby placed 5th in the Shot Put and is the State Champion in the Javelin. Josie placed 3rd in the Triple Jump, 3rd in the Long Jump, and is the State Champion in both the 100m and 300m Hurdles, also setting a KHS record.
In the boys division: Bannick Allen placed 19th in the Javelin and 16th in the Pole Vault. Koda Woodard placed 6th in the Shot Put.

Celebration of the Arts - featuring artwork from Kelso and Longview Secondary Schools. Monday, May 22 @ the Cowlitz County Event Center. Opening Reception is from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Open House hours are May 23 and May 24, 8:00 am - 7:00 pm AND May 25 8:00 am - 2:30 pm

There are no concessions this evening. There are LOTS of places within 2 minutes to grab food (restaurants, Safeway, Met Market…even Crumbl Cookies) before you arrive and you are welcome to bring it in.
Parking is not an issue…there is a large lot right next to the field. If you notice a large area with no cars that look like great spots….don’t park there. Foul ball territory. Broken windshield hot spot.
