four students with photos

Four Kelso High students are the first to participate in PeaceHealth's HeART Project. Sophomores Leah Richardson, Alexander Sunday, and Joseph Chonody, and senior Emma Pacheco will have their photographs featured on cards PeaceHealth will send home to all patients receiving surgery.

Images submitted by these four were selected from a group of 30 entries to a contest offered to KHS photography students. Students were invited to submit images that portrayed health, wellness, or an active lifestyle.

The four winners were recognized at a February 10 Kelso School Board meeting, and received a certificate and $50 gift card. Larger prints of their photographs will also be displayed at the hospital.

The next contest, which will end April 30, is taking place at Kelso’s Lexington Elementary School. Participating students can submit art made using any medium, and the four winning pieces will be displayed on get well cards for PeaceHealth’s child patients.
