Kelso High will be sending three relay teams and an individual to the WIAA State Swim and Diving Championship meet after they qualified in the top two positions at the District 4/8 meet at Whitman college. Senior Soren Guttormsen will go up against the fastest 50 yd sprint swimmers after posting a 23.07 in the district finals.
Coach Lori Clark also watched her relay groups in the 200 yd Medley, 200 yd Freestyle and 400 yd Freestyle all finish in the top two to advance. Wyatt Little, Delt Clark, Henry Eugenis, and Owen Gallagher will join Guttormsen on the team headed to the King Aquatic Center in Federal Way, WA on Friday February 16th.
Jacob Jones also made it to state in the diving competition. Jones fought through the 11 dive challenge to score 236.45 points and earn a spot at State.
