Students are using black lights in Ms. Liden’s room to help highlight the annotations in their notes. A fun way to encourage annotating notes and also processing them with others.

Students in Ms. Brosnan’s math class are working collaboratively to create scale drawings.
In Mr. Krieder’s Washington State History class, students are learning all of Washington’s Counties and the County Seat. They learned the cool fact that Kelso is the Cowlitz County Seat.
Students in Mrs. Miner’s ELA class working on retelling a story from a different character’s perspective including the character’s thoughts, feels about certain events, and impressions of different characters. Then they are to self-evaluate their writing according to certain criteria and provide their reasoning for the score.

We learned that we are bringing 452.5 years of experience, share many strengths, our whys are about helping our students succeed/feel successful/feel valued, and we are ALL about Opening Doors for our students, families, and each other.
