Barnesgiving 2024: A Night to Remember!
On Wednesday, November 20th, Barnes Elementary hosted our second annual Barnesgiving! This special event brought together over 425 students, families, and staff for an evening of connection, fun, and gratitude, all made possible by the generosity of a private donor.
The evening kicked off with families enjoying a delicious meal, lovingly prepared and served by Barnes staff. Guests participated in a variety of activities, including selecting free books, snapping photos at the photo booth, and contributing to our Thankful Turkey display.
Later in the evening, students gathered for a storytime read-aloud, broadcast live for everyone to enjoy. The fun concluded with our principal’s announcement of the school’s attendance goals, featuring some future diverse dining opportunities for students.
A huge thank you to our amazing Barnes staff for serving our students, their families, and each other. Barnesgiving is about more than a meal—it’s about building stronger connections among our Barnes Bears, fostering belonging, participation, and learning. Together, we are creating a community where everyone thrives.
