Congratulations KHS junior, Marina French! Marina’s sculpture of her cat, titled “Yoga Kitty,” was one of only 150 pieces of art selected for the 27th Annual National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition. 152 teachers from all over the nation submitted a total of 1,169 ceramic works of art; 878 pieces alone comprised the junior and senior category.
The National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition is an annual juried ceramic competition for Kindergarten through Grade 12 (K-12) students in the United States. Designed to showcase the best K12 ceramic work made in the country, the exhibition takes place in a different city each year in conjunction with the annual conference of The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA).
Marina’s “Yoga Kitty” will be on display March 20 – 22, 2024, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Virginia. Learn more about the National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition here.
