Throughout Kelso School District, Wednesdays are known as "college and career day" and many of our staff wear shirts branded with logos of colleges, military branches, or places of business. On Wednesday, September 27, Barnes staff took that concept to the next level.
In celebration of the AVID program’s mission of preparing students for career and college readiness, the Barnes team coordinated with a career theme and dressed up to promote the field of aviation. In connection to the AVID mission, Barnes staff will be encouraged to participate once a month to celebrate different careers that recognize and honor the achievements and preparation of individuals in an identified field. Their goal is to bring knowledge and information to students about the future endeavors awaiting them after graduating from a high-quality education.
Next month, Barnes staff will be celebrating first responders and the medical field as a whole. Way to go, Barnes Bears!
