Proposed Improvements
Replace with new 450-student school on current site

Beacon Hill is currently over capacity with 500 students and eight portable classrooms. To fully modernize this school would cost more than to replace it. And with approximately $9 million in state matching funds, project costs are offset. Building a new school will:
Eliminate 8 classrooms in portables
Support growth in west Kelso
Enhance school security and safety by combining spaces and eliminating separated building structures.
Eliminate severe traffic and parking issues
