In the case of an emergency, here are the ways we notify parents and the community when a situation arises. Based on your preference, you can sign up for one or all of the options below.

  • Email through Skyward

Please login to your Skyward account or check with the school to be sure your contact information is up to date.

  • Emergency alerts through FlashAlert

When you create your free FlashAlert account, you can opt-in to receive all press releases or just emergency notifications or both via email. For push notifications on your mobile phone, download the FlashAlert Messenger app for iOS or Android and link it to your account.   You can sign up for notifications through FlashAlert here.

  • Notification on Facebook and Twitter

You can follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/KelsoSchools or on Twitter at @KelsoSchools

  • News Media

In emergency situations we also provide information to the news media, specifically The Daily News, local radio stations and KLTV.

School Safety Tip Line

In an effort to provide another level of safety to our school communities, the Kelso School District has made available a district-wide Safe Schools Anonymous Tip Line. If you suspect or become aware of anyone planning or acting in any unsafe manner, please let us know.

Please remember that the Safe Schools Tip Line does not replace the importance of utilizing 911 nor does it replace the healthy and open communication that parents and students have with reporting concerns to teachers, principals, and other school staff or parents.

Anyone who has a legitimate and genuine concern may contact a building principal by phone or email or use this tip line.  Please see the “icon” to the right of this message.

Online reporting must be made in good faith and can be made without leaving a name or other identifying information. However, those making reports are encouraged to leave their contact information in the event additional information is needed. When providing information please be as detailed as possible including the name of the school(s) and/or person(s) involved, type of activities alleged, and when they occurred or may occur.

Thanks for doing the right thing to help keep our students and schools safe.  Please see additional information here.Spanish version here
